RHSAC Provisional Agenda and Arrangements for Public Consultation
A provisional agenda for the next Radiation Health and Safety Advisory Council meeting will be posted in the week preceding the meeting. The agenda is annotated to expand briefly upon the matters to be considered by the Council at this meeting.
See Summaries of previous meetings.
The Council has decided on the following further steps to increase its openness to the public:
- Publication of its agenda at least a week before a meeting
- An invitation to the public to make submissions to the Council on matters to be considered and/or a request to appear in person at the meeting to put forward a position on the subject
- A public briefing to follow immediately on the afternoon of the meeting.
The possibility of an Internet chat room at the commencement of the meeting will be considered in the future.
Members of the public or organisations who wish to make a written submission to the Council on the matters described in the attached agenda should forward it to the Council Secretariat at secretariat@arpansa.gov.au or ARPANSA, 619 Lower Plenty Rd, Yallambie, 3085.
People or organisations who may wish to appear at a meeting to put forward a view on an agenda item, should contact the Secretary to the Council, Ms Helen Topfer, on (03) 94332355.
A post meeting briefing will be conducted by the Chair of the Council, accompanied by the CEO of ARPANSA following the meeting at the time and location details below, provided the Secretary is notified of a request for the briefing in advance of the Council meeting day.
