ARPANSA is the Australian Government’s expert adviser on radiation. It provides information and advice to government, the Australian public and industry. It is also a regulatory body that promotes national uniformity in radiation protection and nuclear safety among the Australian States and Territories and licences the Australian Government’s activities involving radiation sources and facilities and nuclear installations. ARPANSA is the Australian Government’s representative on international bodies concerned with radiation protection and nuclear safety.

ARPANSA seeks Graduates with a background in science, engineering, law and public policy to make a contribution to its programs. Applications have closed for the 2008 program.
