Contribution to International Publications

ARPANSA representatives sit on a number of Internationl Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) committees tasked with developing standards and safety guides in line with best practice. Such committees include:

  • The Nuclear Safety Standards Committee (NUSSC);
  • The Radiation Safety Standards Committee (RASSC);
  • The Transport Safety Standards Committee (TRANSSC); and
  • The Waste Safety Standards Committee (WASSC).

ARPANSA co-ordinates the member state comment on these documents as they are developed and provides feedback on behalf of Australia to the IAEA through Safety Standards Committee members.
