Survey Management and Funding
The current survey of mobile phone base station EME levels is being carried out by ARPANSA with financial support from the Mobile Carriers Forum (MCF), a division of the Australian MobileTelecommunications Association (AMTA) the peak industry body for the telecommunications industry.
The survey is managed solely by ARPANSA with measurements being carried out by RF assessors accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA). Financial support from the MCF has been used to fund the contracts for the accredited measurements. Choice of exact measurement locations, analysis of results and preparation of summary data for internet publication has been carried out by ARPANSA.
Site selection has been managed by ARPANSA with final confirmation of the sites by the .Electromagnetic Energy Reference Group (PDF 55kb) (EMERG).
