Council and Committee vacancies for the 2012 - 2014 triennium 

Radiation Health and Safety Advisory Council: ARPANSA recently sought expressions of interest for Council positions for the next triennium (2012‑2014). Expressions of interest are now closed. See RHSAC page for further details.

ARPANSA also recently sought expressions of interest for member positions for both the Radiation Health Committee (RHC) and the Nuclear Safety Committee (NSC) for the next triennium (2012-2014).

These RHC and NSC vacancies were advertised in the Weekend Australian on 9 September and the closing date for nominations was 14 October 2011. For more details of the functions, membership and work of the RHC and NSC view the pages accessed below.

About the RHSAC and Committees

Radiation Health and Safety Advisory Council (RHSAC)

The RHSAC advises the CEO on emerging issues and matters of major public concern relating to radiation protection and nuclear safety.

Radiation Health Committee (RHC)

The RHC advises the CEO and the RHSAC on matters relating to radiation protection, including formulating draft national policies, codes and standards for the promotion of uniform national standards of radiation protection for consideration by the Commonwealth, States and Territories.

Nuclear Safety Committee (NSC)

The NSC advises the CEO and the RHSAC on matters relating to nuclear safety and the safety of controlled facilities, including developing and assessing the effectiveness of standards, codes, practices and procedures.
